How to Add a Device

Before connecting, please check the following device settings:

Projector (LAN Control)

Power Settings 

OSD Menu > Set Up > Power Settings > Active

Select Active to ensure the projector remains discoverable over the network.

Network Setup

OSD Menu > Network Setup > LAN > DHCP 

  • Set DHCP to ON to automatically obtain an IP address from your router.

  • If using a static IP, set DHCP to OFF and manually enter the IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway.

Network Setup

OSD Menu > Network Setup > Control Password

 

Password Policy:
  • Minimum of 8 characters
  • Must include uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and numbers

If accessing this menu for the first time, you will be prompted to create a security password for remote management access.

Network Setup

OSD Menu >Network Setup > Control > Telnet On

Please enable Telnet to ensure the projector is immediately recognized and seamlessly controlled by your existing AV control systems.

 

Projector (Bluetooth Control)

Bluetooth dongle
Ensure the Bluetooth dongle is connected to the correct port.

Network Setup

OSD Menu > Network Setup > Control Password

Password Policy:
  • Minimum of 8 characters
  • Must include uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and numbers

If accessing this menu for the first time, you will be prompted to create a security password for remote management access.

Network Setup

OSD Menu > Network Setup > Control > BT Control On

 

Enable BT Control to allow your smart control app to discover and connect to the projector.  

BT Authorization (Optional)
When enabled, the system will require the Control Password (set in Step 2) to establish a Bluetooth connection.

Prevents unauthorized users from connecting to the projector's Bluetooth signal.

IFP/FP/AIO LED
• DHCP is set to ON
• Power setting is set to Active

Once device setup is complete, you can start using the Smart Control App. 

Adding a Device

To start managing your hardware, you'll need to connect the device to the app first.
1.    Open Device List: Tap the "+ Add" button at the bottom right of your screen.
2.    Choose Connection Type: 

  • Bluetooth: The app will automatically scan for nearby devices using Bluetooth.
  • Local Network: Search for devices connected to the same Wi-Fi or LAN.

Adding via LAN

  • Make sure your mobile device and the display are connected to the same network.
  • Choose “Auto Search”, "Manual Search", or Range Search.

    Tips: Auto search may take longer. If you have only a few devices, you can manually enter a single IP address or search by an IP address range to quickly add devices to the app.

Adding via Bluetooth

To connect using Bluetooth, please check that: 

  • The Bluetooth dongle is plugged in. 
  • BT Control is turned "ON"
  • If BT Authorization is enabled, enter the password.

3.   The app will detect and display the projector’s serial number. Once the device appears, tap “Add Device” to complete the setup.


Device Information & Management

The "Info" tab shows important details about your system's status and identity:

  • Device Name: Tap the Edit icon to rename your device (for example, ZK521ST).
  • Hardware Info.: See the Serial Number, MAC Address, IP Address, Resolution, and Refresh Rate.
  • Maintenance: Keep track of Device Runtime (light source hours), Temperature, and Fan Status (for Projectors only).
  • Firmware: Check the current System FW and MCU FW versions to make sure your software is up to date. 
  • Delete Device: To remove a device from your list, tap "Delete device" at the bottom.Device list.pngdevice info.2.jpg
